My community suffered a tragedy at the end of last August.

Unfortunately I hadn’t built a close connection to the people involved, but I was surprised by how it affected me, despite that. I had a really hard time focusing and became very unproductive for a few weeks after.

That experience made it clear to me that processing emotions and balancing energy levels is often more important than narrowly focused time-management. I realized how little control I have over my circumstances. On the other hand, I was urged to process them and to carefully choose which aspects of them to focus on, in order to make the most out of the hand I was dealt.

Based on that, and with my wise wife’s encouragement, I made this printable template to help myself frame my day in a positive light.
