Script Scramble ch.2
Can I beat the clock?
Week one to two:
Like I updated last week, I have an amazing opportunity to write my own comic story for a publisher. Here’s where I’m holding:
Baruch Hashem, I stuck to my schedule for the first two weeks. The story is all planned out and divided into pages, and I’ve even wrote out the first eleven pages!
Something that threw me off is how long it takes me to type things up. I wrote the pages out by hand, but getting them into a 21st-century-friendly digital format is adding on time that I didn’t include in my plan.
The story idea was also approved by my client! That’s a huge win. I was afraid he’d want me to relegate it to side project status, and put most of my time into illustrating someone else’s story, but it seems like he’s fully on-board now.
Getting the entire project done by his dead-line of early Iyar will be a challenge, though. That gives me only about twelve weeks to finish writing and drawing the comic, and some of those weeks include Purim and Pesach.
I hope I can do it!
